Summary and Connection- Greer Kerns
The brain really is beautiful. It is so intricate and has so many different pieces and parts to it. As teenagers, I feel like we are put into this stereotype of being the bad kids and always being the ones to get into trouble, but I beg to differ on this. Teenagers think about their dumb decisions we make, just like Dobbs son did. He thought about speeding on the empty highway, so he did it. Yes, it cost him in the end, but he did it after thinking about what he was going to do.
We have another disadvantage against us; parts of our brain are not fully developed so we don’t have all the same ideas and thought process of adults. This is no disadvantage though. If our brains were fully developed by the time we were teens then learning new things would be much harder. As a teen myself I am thankful for this time where I get to learn more and learn how to apply myself in the real world. I will be the first to admit that teenagers can make some pretty silly decisions, but we learn from our mistakes and can learn from them.
